if I was Alice and I was really in wonderland I would have mistakenly eaten a magic mushroom and would now be the size of Eiffel Tower and sadly unable to blog. well, I'm not Alice but the story could be hers. I took one injection that last three weeks, it should heal me, but has also doped me that long, and all I can do now is wait for the side effects to end, and that is what this countdown is for. meanwhile I'll be sleeping and crying because I feel really frustrated. please, stick around. I honestly miss you terribly! I'll be back soon. xxo

Blessed Sunday

today we had a sunny Sunday and went to have lunch by the sea. took the bus and on we went. I didn't resist to write the obvious in the sand, it's the time of year when I remember happiness again. my inner child is happy with all the lights and warm fragrances of the season.

there is magic in the air and a little rainbow came to make me smile. on a cloudless blue sky, magic happened on our table. here is the sun playing with us through my glass of soda. the first rainbow I captured with my camera.

Xmas stars

today we went to IKEA and I bought these stars that are now hanging on my window. I also bought one vanilla fragranced candle and now my room is full of light and smells so good. my sister wants to rent the room where most of my things were, since I left my life behind in 2008. so now I've my room (the one where I actually live in) with all the clothes from when I had less weight. with the medication I doubled my weight in six months. already lost a lot but not enough to get inside my old pants and dresses. well, I'm rambling. I was trying to understand the bokeh tecnique and discovered this instead. I like it (maybe because the room smells vanilla and I feel so comfy). I was playing with the aperture and the shutter speed got really slow and from there, instead of going for a bokeh picture, I had fun drawing my movements while holding the camera. tonight I'm happy with these little things. and I hope you enjoy this photo too. xxo

my niece playing with my mother's glasses. she is definitely a God's gift in our life, she is always laughing and it's contagious. she has a great sense of humour and she laugh about herself all the time. she is a joy to be with and I adore her.

yesterday was Santa Luzia day and my auntie's b'day. we had a family dinner (also works perfectly as a Xmas rehearsal). this collage only have those who allow me to publish their photos: my mother, me, my niece and my sister. this is my second evening with my family and my camera and I'm very proud of myself because I didn't use flash. I'm learning well :)

my goofy face

I've a new hair cut, much shorter. to catch this selfie I just stretched my arms and shoot. the lens is to cloose so that gives me a goofy face, lol. but I'm so happy with my new look, I wanted to share it anyway. I used today's free texture from Kim Klassen 12 Days of Textures to edit the photo. in my family, instead of spending our Xmas budget in small gifts for everyone, each one of us is selected to buy a gift for only one person. that means, all adults get one gift (children get from everyone). I don't know who is my Santa this year but I asked for a tripod. I hope to get one! I'm a bit excited about it :)

I live in a poor country (rich in beauty but nevertheless poor), thank God the Euro prevailed. we are living

difficult times and so this three lights are the only thing shining outside. everyone is cutting the budget.

3.Ornaments

we weren't going to have a Xmas tree because our four cats love to climb, but my mother managed

to buy a tiny little one and these are its ornaments. very simple and cute at the same time.

4.Cup of Cheer

I had a photo of my mother with the two glasses clapping but I prefer this one. the two of us together :)

5.Nativity

my mother painted some of these figures, the angels for sure.

had some breakfast (these are so delicious I even eat them as dessert)

went out for a walk.

it's a raining Saturday...

can you hear the music in the air around me: it's Xmas in my home. today we had another special lunch
with all the decorations and the most beautiful table set we deserve. my mother is herself very creative.

we had a glorious sunny day :)

a la carte: chicken strogonoff. since we were children it has always been our special menu.

when I got my first cellphone, back in 1996, I used to feel really awkward answering it in the middle of the street, so I used to stop in these public cabins and talk inside them. the lost of privacy was tricky for a while. was it easy for you?
